Challenge promotion: Eid 2010 and Days of Awesome

eid_ka_chand, which I co-mod, is running its annual Eid al-Fitr challenge! Not all Muslims are chromatic of course, but scanning the master list of fictional Muslim characters shows that a large number are, and increasing positive representation of chromatic Muslims in fandom is something I really hope you might enjoy doing along with me!

Also, daysofawesome is running its annual Days of Awe challenge for Jewish characters. And once again, not all Jews are white!

Racial identity, religious identity, and the representation thereof in media is such a complicated thing... which makes challenges that talk about it a great place to start fannish discussion about it.
