I suspected the technical side of things would be near impossible in terms of mapping request type to format threshold. That just seems to complicated with the tools we have at hand.
But I did want to bring it up. I ran a couple other searches and none of them are yielding the discrepancy that Blue Exorcist is on the Pixiv vs FF.net front:
Blade of the Immortal: 400 illustrations vs. 94 stories Deadman Wonderland: < 140 illustrations vs. 20 stories Tokyo Majin: < 60 illustrations (and I think some of them are for the game, not the anime) vs 44 stories (which are all for the anime, I think)
So it's not like every anime/manga fandom is going to give this huge margin but I suspect there will be a couple outliers like Blue Exorcist.
