Beta Mailing List
Hello doers of darkness! We're excited to announce Chromatic Beta, a mailing list centering around chromatic sources where you can offer or request beta services for a particular fandom or culture, ethnicity, language, religion or other identity. Our goal is to promote responsible portrayal of chromatic characters among others in fanworks.
We use the term "chromatic" as an umbrella definition for "person of color", "non-white", "multiracial", "indigenous", "sourcelander", "hyphenate", "diasporian", etc.; while we acknowledge that it has shortcomings. Similarly, we accept that there is a certain flattening in our "white/Western/other" terminology.
The mailing list is open to anyone who is looking for a beta or interested in offering beta services. You can join the list here. To request a specific beta service, please make a new post by either using Google Groups' posting interface or by sending an email to chromatic-beta AT googlegroups DOT com with "Beta Request: [brief request summary]" as the subject tagline and the following info:

Type of beta service(s) requesting: (amv/compilation/fanvid/mv/songvid, artwork, graphics, meta, podfic, stories and/or other type of fan activities & works; particular fandom and/or culture, ethnicity, language, religion or other identity; etc.)
Relevant info: (optional: any notes you want to add about what type of beta-ing you're needing, etc.)
- using Google Groups' posting interface, choose "Chromatic Beta <chromatic-beta [AT] googlegroups [DOT] com>" under the drop-down menu for "From:" section and your message will be sent under the group's email letting you, hopefully, maintain anonymity or
- you can contact us at darkadmn AT gmail DOT com and we can act as a go-between
