There is no visible way to sign up at AO3: the link goes to the icon, a paragraph, and a button that says 'profile'. I don't know if this is a browser incompatibility problem with AO3 or not, but there is no form for signing up....
ETA: I've been looking at the other collections: most have buttons aside from 'profile' like 'join' or 'post'. (I joined the test comm just to see if the button worked, please ignore that /o\ ) But there is no sign-up form.
