I got two gift fics for Kaze Hikaru, an awesome historical shoujo manga series about a girl (Sei) who disguises herself as a boy in order to join the shinsengumi and avenge the deaths of her father and brother – the fics are also awesome, and the first one even comes with a soundtrack!
Summer Wind (1229 words) by Anonymous Fandom: Kaze Hikaru Rating: General Audiences Warning: No Archive Warnings Apply Relationships: Tominaga Sei | Kamiya Seizaburou/Okita Souji Characters: Tominaga Sei | Kamiya Seizaburou, Okita Souji, Yamanami Keisuke, Saitou Hajime, Hijikata Toshizou Summary:
What does Sei do with her three days a month at the Hanaya? (In which the Bechdel Test has not yet been invented, and half the characters are unaware that they're passing it anyway.)
While wandering through the archives, I have also encountered and really enjoyed the following:
Tanabata (2749 words) by Anonymous Fandom: Gouhou Drug | Legal Drug Rating: General Audiences Warning: No Archive Warnings Apply Relationships: Himura Rikuou/Kudou Kazahaya Characters: Himura Rikuou, Kudou Kazahaya Summary:
Rikuou and Kazahaya are tasked to find a very special item, on the seventh day of the seventh month.
Very much like part of the manga; a bittersweet mystery, with excellent characterisation.
Grand Cayman is once again known as a pirate port, a haven—albeit a dangerous one—for anyone who would rather not be found. In light of this, it is perhaps unsurprising to finally track Shauntè Griffin, Darlene Dixon, and Delia Vasquez, the crew of the Maia Hailey, down here.
I have not read the canon. However, this fic is amazing, and more people should read it.
Occupied (3209 words) by Anonymous Fandom: Diplomatic Immunity (NZ TV) Rating: Teen And Up Audiences Warning: No Archive Warnings Apply Characters: Leighton Mills, Leilani Fa’Auigaese, Jonah Fa’auigaese, Kirsty (Diplomatic Immunity), Malepe Fa’Auigaese Summary:
Leilani starts an Occupy Fe'ausi movement. Chaos ensues. (Obviously.)
