I'm writing about (will be done by tomorrow morning! le sigh) an Andros (Red Space Ranger) of Chinese descent. Unfortunately, I know hardly anything of USAMerica (I am Straits Chinese). Is anyone knowledgeable about race relations/cultural context of the mid-1990s in North America? A beta would be really helpful. I apologise for the lateness of this request.

(FWIW, the Space Rangers team comprised one Korean-American woman, one Latino man, one black man, one white woman, and the originally-white Red Ranger. The dynamics! Squee.)
