Kaleidoscope & Kaleidoscope Treats Closing

Sorry, doers of darkness, your moderators fell asleep for a bit, but heads-up! Our last pinch-hit has been submitted and we'll be closing Kaleidoscope and Kaleidoscope Treats AO3 collections from any more submissions in about 15 minutes! If you have any treats you'd like to submit, please do so now! We'll be going live shortly thereafter.

Guess the doers of darkness!

We have about 100 fanworks and 60 participants who submitted fanworks, including those who pinch-hit and created treats. Some of us are undoubtedly curious about who our assigned doer of darkness is and/or who created a particular fanwork so let's play a game!

Do you have a solid idea -- or any -- who your doer of darkness is? Or who created a particular fanwork? Did their fanwork style give them away? Or have they raised subterfuge to another level and confused us all? Tell us your guesses!

Hello doers of darkness -- Kaleidoscope and Kaleidoscope Treats are both live, and you may browse through fanworks from both collections using the Kaleidoscope's Works and Kaleidoscope Treats' Works navigation interface.

However, many of us find browsing through a structured list organized by categories easier and we at dark_agenda love lists so here's one: a list of Kaleidoscope and Kaleidoscope Treats fanworks organized by fandoms.

We tried our best to include names and titles in the original language of the source as well as diacritics when possible; we also recognize that there are many standards of transliterating a particular language. Thus, please let us know anything we missed or incorrectly noted down.

Kaleidoscope live!

Doers of darkness, Kaleidoscope and Kaleidoscope Treats are now live! Thank you to everyone who participated in the challenge, whether you signal-boosted, offered beta services, or created fanworks for assignments or treats, and especially if you did a last-minute pinch hit for us!

In honor of go live, we are hosting several posts:

And we'd like to ask and encourage everyone to signal-boost the challenge in their journaling account or any communities they may moderate! Kaleidoscope banners may be found in our Kaleidoscope Promotional Graphics & Templates post and ( here's an updated template with new links )

If you missed participating in Kaleidoscope, there's still hope. We will be re-opening our Kaleidoscope Treats collection after this challenge officially ends to allow for further submissions based on prompts from our list of all requests!

Addendum: Hi doers of darkness! We forgot to mention a few things:

• AO3 has a nifty "Kudos" feature similar to a Like button so if you like to give kudos to a fanwork, scroll down to the bottom of the fanwork and a kudos button is located above the comments section in the right corner of the screen.
  
• If you wish to minimize the chance of anyone guessing which fanwork(s) you've created, but still want to leave feedback on other fanworks and so forth, AO3 does allow anonymous commenting and leaving "Kudos" so if you're logged-in to AO3, log-out & then leave your feedback.
  
• Also, to maintain anonymity during this go-live week, please don't reply to any comments you've received on your fanworks until after reveals (unless you do so anonymously). Creator reveals will happen around November 26th, 9 p.m. Pacific Time (U.S.A.).
