Hello doers of darkness -- Thank you for nominating and participating in Kaleidoscope nominations process! As we gear up to finalize the nominations list through our dispute process, there are a few clarifications that we would like to make regarding Kaleidoscope tagging conventions and source eligibility in hope of providing some clarity on our requests for help in determining a fandom, character or person's eligibility or for corrections and information on their names.

Hello doers of darkness -- We've finished processing all nominations! Thank you again, everyone, for nominating!

With the exception of the following fandoms and characters )

which have been considered ineligible for Kaleidoscope because they don't appear to qualify for our challenge, all nominations have been initially approved. We have 177 fandoms & about 965 characters, and the list of fandoms and characters can be reviewed at our Kaleidoscope 2012 Nominations tags set (and our Kaleidoscope 2012 Nominations spreadsheet for reference).

Our post on source eligibility might provide some insights on why some fandoms and characters have been deemed as ineligible. However, If you believe any of above fandoms and characters have been rejected in error, or if a fandom or character that you've nominated does not appear in the above ineligible list or the Kaleidoscope 2012 Nominations list, please let us know!

Furthermore, if you believe a fandom or character in the Kaleidoscope 2012 Nominations list does not qualify for Kaleidoscope based on our criteria for eligibility, please open a dispute at Kaleidoscope Disputes. We depend on your help and fannish knowledge to finalize the nominations list. Below is a tutorial on how to open a dispute.

We also welcome corrections and help on verifying how names and titles are transcribed and transliterated from the original source language. In particular, we continue to ask for your help in finding and verifying the names in the original source language and/or their romanized version )

How to Open a Dispute )

Kaleidoscope's disputes period will end on August 31. Thank you for your participation so far!
